Pocket Bio:

Elaine McCluskey is a writer from Dartmouth, N.S., who has published three short-story collections and two novels. A fourth collection is upcoming. She won the Other Voices short story contest and the Pottersfield Portfolio story contest. She placed second in the Fish international short story contest in Ireland. She was a Journey Prize top-three finalist. She won the Bill Percy award, the Saturday Night diamond contest, and has had her work anthologized in subTerrain 25th Anniversary Issue, and Gaspereau Gloriatur Volume II Prose, among others. She has had work featured in nearly two dozen journals, including Geist, subTerrain, The Antigonish Review, The Dalhousie Review, The Fiddlehead, Room, Riddle Fence and others. She was a finalist for the John and Margaret Savage Award, and she has twice been on the ReLit long list. She has worked as a journalist, journalism instructor, and book editor.
